Remember the Adopt-A-Spot spring cleanup that is scheduled for April 4 in the Nellis area beginning at 10 a.m.

A special thanks to William Holstine and Jackie Williams, both of Ashford, for the four display cases they recently donated to the Historic Nellis Church/Archives; Charles Tilson, of Middleburg, Fla., for the coal miner statue made from coal he donated; and Elouise Hutchison, of Elkview, for the money she donated. Charles and Elouise Hutchison are retired Boone County teachers who taught at Ashford-Rumble Elementary School.

The book, "Boone County Cemeteries of West Virginia, Volume XI," is available at the Boone-Madison Library for $15 each. It can be mailed at a cost of $19 each. The book has information on the following cemeteries: Barker at White Oak; Barker Family at Epling Hollow; Courtney at Lick Creek; Cummings at Epling Hollow; G.W. Estep, Oliver Estep and Estep, all at Ridgeview; Gillispie at Alum Creek; Gillispie at Emmons; Holstein at Dartmont; Kinder at Costa; Morris at White Oak; Morris at Grippe; Perry Family, Stone Family and Snodgrass Family, all at Rumble; Rumble Baptist Church; two Turleys at Ridgeview; and Walker at Nellis. A map also is included.

Kevin Bowes, of Costa, is having some serious health problems. Pray that Kevin gets good results on his upcoming medical tests.
