First Christian Church


The First Christian Church at Racine Hill is now open for services on Thursday and Friday nights. Gospel singers are needed.


The church started revival services on Sunday, May 12, at 7 p.m.


Pastor Jesse Thompson welcomes all to attend.

Greenview Community Church


Greenview Community Church will present “Heaven” on Saturday, May 18, at 7 p.m. and Pastor Luke Cooper and the church invites everyone to attend this special event.


Revival


There will be a revival at Maple Hill Baptist Church in Morrisvale on May 15-17 at 7 p.m. nightly with Evangelist Scott Bowman. Special singing includes: Wednesday, May 15, Maple Hill Choir; Thursday, May 16, Joyful Noise; and Friday, May 17, Still Saved by Grace.


The church and Pastor David Bowman invites everyone to attend.


Revival


There will be a revival at Roundbottom Community Church in Peytona, three-fourths a mile up Round Bottom Road, starting May 19, 2013, at 7 p.m. each night. Preaching will be Brother Steve Ponton and special singing each night. Pastory Rogen Ross and the church welcomes everyone to attend this special event.


Gospel Concert


There will be a gospel concert at the Keith Full Gospel Church Friday night, June 7, 2013, with “The Freemans” from Hendersonville, Tn. Doors will open at 6 p.m. and the concert starts at 7 p.m. A love offering will be taken.


The church is located on Rt. 3 in Boone County, six miles west of Whitesville, and 45 minutes driving distance from Charleston and Beckley.

Prayer Connection Lighthouse


Prayer Connection Lighthouse in Danville is accepting donations of clothing, canned goods, furniture and garden foods. Monetary donations can also be mailed to P.O. Box 159, Danville, WV 25053.


They also need volunteers from 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., Monday through Friday.


The church’s “Heart of God Soup Kitchen” serves free hot meals Monday through Friday between 1:30 and 5 p.m. Due to health department regulations, no food can be carried out. The kitchen will be open in April on the 24, 25, 26, 29 and 30.


The church or the kitchen does not give out cash or any other monetary assistance.

The McCorkle Freewill Baptist Church Crisis Committee invites everyone to participate in our “Community Nursing Program.” The program takes place he third Tuesday of each month from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at McCorkle FWB Church multipurpose room.


An RN will be available to the congregation of the church, community and surrounding communities to take your blood pressure, check your blood sugar, explain “the VIAL OF LIFE” (essential information to keep on hand), and explain Medical Power of Attorneys or Living Wills.
