MADISON – A Bloomingrose man is headed to prison after violating his alternative sentence.
Cecil Lee Green, 28, was in Boone County Circuit Court on allegations that he failed to report to probation as ordered by the Court.
After admitting to the violation, Green was sentenced to prison.
Green was on probation following his conviction last year for Fleeing in a Vehicle.
In the criminal complaint filed by Trooper M. S. Lively of the West Virginia State Police, Green was observed a brown Ford truck driven by Green run a stop sign at the intersection of WV Routes 3 and 94.
The truck then turned onto Indian Creek Road with Trooper Lively in pursuit at speeds estimated to be 60 m.p.h. Green eventually drove the truck into the Big Coal River and fled on foot. He was later arrested by police.
Green pled guilty last August to the felony offense of Fleeing in a Vehicle.
At the time, Green’s sentence was suspended, and he was placed on home incarceration which was later converted to probation.
At his revocation hearing, Green was sentenced to prison for up to 5 years.
