A man currently jailed in connection with a February murder in Madison is in trouble with Logan County authorities for sexual assault.

Jason John Ramsey, 25, of Gordon, has been charged with sexual assault and conspiracy by West Virginia State Police in connection with an alleged attack on another prisoner. Trooper P.J. Dick, of the Logan Detachment has alleged that on March 7, Ramsey held down a male prisoner while another prisoner sexually assaulted the victim.

The complaint stated that an unnamed male inmate who is incarcerated in Southwestern said Ramsey held him down while Timmy Lambert, 31, of Logan County, assaulted him.

The complaint stated that the allegations “were substantiated by other inmate statements that were housed in the same section of the jail as Lambert, Ramsey and the victim.”

Ramsey was lodged in Southwestern Regional Jail in connection with charges of murder in the February 2009 death of Ed Ferrell, of Madison. Investigators believe Ramsey and another woman killed Ferrell to gain access to a substantial amount of prescription painkillers the victim had in his home.

The case against Ramsey will be presented to a Boone County Grand Jury for consideration next week. If indicted and convicted he faces a possible sentence of life in prison.

I live with this every day, knowing that my dad is gone. I wonder if they know what its like to miss my father so much. I hope they get what they deserve. I get to live the rest of my life knowing I can't huge or kiss my father again, becuase someone was so desperate for drugs.

What a sicko! EEW! I never thought this stuff happened locally. This guy deserves life anyway, along with the woman that helped him! Killing an eldery man for drugs, what's this world coming to? Wonder what Miss Natasha thinks about her boyfriend now?
