WEST MADISON -- The Scott Skyhawks split four baseball games last week.
Their season record now stands at 5-9.
"After the week before, we improved 100 percent," said Scott head coach Mickey Thompson, whose team had only one win in four games two weeks ago. "Things are starting to come together for us. I hope we'll be ready by tournament time."

Seniors Eric Price and Dale Holstein hit home runs for the host Skyhawks on Wednesday, but the long balls weren't enough to top the Fighting Irish.
Scott scored two runs in the first, third and fifth innings to take a 6-5 lead, but Charleston Catholic used a 5-1 surge in the sixth and seventh innings to rally on the road.
Price and senior Kameron Akers each had two hits for the Skyhawks.

The Fighting Irish scored two runs in the first, one in the second, two in the third, six in the fourth, six in the fifth and four in the sixth to survive a slugfest with the visiting Skyhawks on Thursday.
Charleston Catholic finished with 15 hits. To make matters worse for the Boone County squad, Scott also committed four errors.
Thanks to an interesting coincidence caused by this spring's inclement weather, the teams played their home-and-home series on back-to-back days.
"Catholic is a good team," Thompson said. "We fought hard in both games."
Price and junior Shawn Ballard each went 2-for-5 for the Skyhawks, who scored one run in the first inning, five in the third, four in the fourth, two in the fifth and one in the sixth.
Akers added a home run and three RBI for Scott, which led 6-5 after the first three innings but was outscored 16-7 in the next three innings.
Junior Tyler Ramsey was 2-for-4 with a double.
Scott 11, Valley Fayette 6
Price, Akers and junior Tyler Thompson each hit solo home runs Friday to lift the Skyhawks to a road win over the Greyhounds.
A sixth-run fourth inning proved to be the difference for Scott, which also scored once in the second, once in the third, twice in the fifth and once in the sixth.
Price was 2-for-5 and senior Charles Brisky was 2-for-3 for the Skyhawks, who collected nine hits and capitalized on three errors by the Greyhounds. Ballard added a double and an RBI.
Scott 14, Liberty Raleigh 7
Akers and Thompson had big days for the host Skyhawks on Saturday.
Thompson was 4-for-5 with seven RBI. Akers was 3-for-4 with three runs.
"We went up early and fell behind late, but the boys fought hard and came back to win it at the end," the elder Thompson said. "It was a good win for us."
Scott played without Price and senior Drew Runyan, who were on college visits that day.
No other details about or statistics for this game were available.
