According to the complaint, Trooper D.R. White, received a call from the alleged victim, who said she had left her home at approximately 9:30 a.m. on May 26, and returned at approximately 4:00 p.m. to find her home broken into.
The victim told the officer that her neighbors had identified Buzzard as the person who broke into her home and carried out two flat-screen televisions, according to the complaint.
This statement was verified by the neighbors, according to the complaint.
When confronted, Buzzard told officers that the home owner asked him to go into her home, get the items and pawn them, according to the complaint.
The homeowner denied this, stating that she would never let someone go in her residence and take her things, according to court documents.
Buzzard provided officers with a receipt from a pawn shop in Kanawha City, where he had pawned the items, according to the complaint.
Buzzard is being held at the Southwestern Regional Jail on a $25,000 surety, or $2,500 cash bail.
