The 27th annual Nellis-Armco reunion, combined with the Nellis Grade School reunion is slightly more than three weeks away. It is scheduled for Saturday, June 27, beginning at noon. The Nellis Elementary School gym has been reserved for this date. Mark your calendar and make plans to spend the afternoon with former neighbors and long-time friends. Hot dogs and soft drinks will be available. It was nice to see James Goldsberry and chat briefly with him last Friday. He has been having medical problems, but seems to be doing well. Sympathy to the family of Edna Estep of Nellis who passed away May 24 at the age of 77. Thanks to Debbie Hopkins, for sharing this easy to prepare, but delicious, cake recipe: ANGEL FOOD SUPREME 1 package (4 serving size) vanilla instant pudding 1 20-oz can crushed pineapple (in juice, undrained) 1 cup thawed Cool Whip topping 1 prepared (round) angel food cake Mix dry pudding mix and pineapple in medium bowl. Gently stir in Cool Whip. Cut cake horizontally into three layers; place bottom cake layer on serving plate, top with 1/3 of the pudding mixture. Repeat layers two times. Refrigerate at least one hour before serving. Store leftover in refrigerator. ANNIVERSARIES Happy anniversary wishes to Kermit and Rose Harless of Nellis who will celebrate their 46th anniversary June 6.
