A Madison woman implicated and convicted in connection with a series burglaries is back in jail and likely headed for prison.

Chelsea Dolan, 22, was implicated with Heather Morris and Jerry Messer II, in connection with a series of 2007 burglaries that were apparently conducted to obtain funding to purchase prescription drugs.

A break led sheriff’s deputies and state troopers to identify the trio and the local pawnshop that police believe they sold stolen goods to.

Over several months in 2008 and 2009 the trio eventually entered into plea agreements that led to probation for Dolan and Morris and prison time for Messer.

Both women pleaded guilty to felony charges and as part of their probation were required to enter into the drug court program.

According to court records, Morris is reportedly following all the rules stipulated in the program and is seeking a college education.

Last week, the Lincoln County drug court reported that several participants of its day report center had tested positive for opiods.

Court documents indicate that they implicated Chelsea Dolan as the person who sold the pain pills to them. Dolan was arrested and placed in jail on Thursday Lincoln County Sheriff’s Department deputies.

On Monday, Boone County Circuit Judge Will Thompson signed an order removing Dolan from the drug court program. Part of her plea agreement stipulated that she commit no crimes and refrain from using illegal drugs.

If Judge Thompson finds probable cause, Dolan is likely headed for Lakin State Prison for women.
