Jack Anthony Webb, 33, of Wharton, and Angel Coleman, 29, of Van, were arrested Aug. 31 on a number of drug-related charges.

According to the criminal complaint filed in the Magistrate Court of Boone County, Webb and Coleman are charged with

operating a clandestine laboratory, possession with intent to deliver Methamphetamine, conspiracy to deliver a controlled substance and child abuse creating a substantial risk of injury.

On Aug. 31, officers with the Boone County Sheriff’s Office executed a search warrant at the residence of Jack Webb, located on McKinley Street, in Clinton Camp, Barrett, and, according to the complaint, discovered

numerous ingredients used in the manufacturing of meth.

Among the items inventoried, officers discovered glassware with residue in them, glassware which had been modified with tape and other materials, modified plastic containers, rubber hoses and other household chemicals used in the cooking process.

According to the complaint, when officers entered the residence, there was a 15-year old child sleeping in a chair in the same room with Coleman, where a deal was being brokered for a flat-screen television in exchange for Methamphetamine from a third party.

According to Sheriff Rodney Miller, when deputies checked everyone at the residence, the 15-year-old was found to be in possession of other illegal drugs. The juvenile, who cannot be identified, will face charges once juvenile petitions are filed in the Boone County Circuit Court, according to Miller.

Miller says that deputies also located a dumping area behind the residence where they had the waste from some of their cooks. Investigators have reason to believe that the drugs were cooked at the residence on several occasions prior to it being discovered, according to officials.

Deputies believe the two tried to burn the waste and there was a large storm drain available that could allow disposal of some of the lab waste product, according to officials, Miller says.

Arraignment was held Monday morning before Boone County Magistrate Charles Byrnside. Coleman and Webb are being held at the Southwestern Regional Jail on a $200,000 surety. The felony charges against Webb and Coleman carry fines and a maximum of 20 years in prison.

According to Miller, the investigation is continuing and further charges may be filed or current charges may be modified at a later date as new information is available. The lead investigator in the case is Corporal J. A. Weagel.

So are they finally going to put him away this time, or are they going to turn him lose again so another person can die while trying to hide it?

It is high time Boone County cleaned up the drug problem that is evident everywhere there. Clinton Camp used to be a respected neighborhood to live in, but to drive up there now is almost heartbreaking. It looks like Little Harlem anymore, and a lot of that is because the druggies have made that place their 'safe' house.

Clean it up and send the druggies to prison where they belong. Enough is enough of this nonsense. it's time the people took Boone County back and it's time certain judges and law enforcement officials in Boone County helped the people do that.
