Two families in the Robinson area have seen their homes destroyed by fire this month and the local fire departments still have not reported as to the cause of those fires.
This past Friday, around 4 p.m., a fire started at a house in the Robinson area, blocking traffic into the area for more than two hours.
“They have had the roads blocked for more than three hours each time, causing problems for everyone on the road. This includes people who are trying to get to work, home, and even school buses,” resident Cody Miller wrote to the Coal Valley News.
Miller, like many residents, have expressed their concern and sorrow for the homeowners who have lost their homes, but say they are a bit frustrated that crossovers for blocked traffic were not created.
Firefighters report that during the Oct. 16 fire, one person was inside the house when the fire started, but was able to get out safely.
There is no word on what started the fire that consumed the house. This recent fire is the second Robinson area house fire reported this month.
On Monday, Oct. 5, another house fire was reported at approximately 11:31 a.m. Both the Madison and Danville Fire Departments responded to that fire, at 56 Price Pettery Drive, on W.Va. Route 85.
One occupant of the house was injured during the Oct. 5 fire.
In both fires, firefighters report the houses as total losses.
The causes to both of the blazes are undetermined at this time and are being investigated.
