Have people forgotten the term deep mining? And, how can you call the heavy equipment operators miners? The problems created by MTR will be in Boone Co. after the last lump of coal is gone. You can take your grankids into the Moonscape that was once Boone Co. and proudly say we did this.....

I totally agree with you harleyguy698.

They are lovely images. Images of jobs and people being able to support their families. Who the hell comes to Boone Co to vacation anyway?

Just be prepared to take care of all the folks you're gonna put out of work when you stop it. No job in West Virginia is gonna pay like what these guys are used to. Can't expect someone thats put a life in mining and making good money, to live on what they pay to flip hamburgers at Wendys for. Are you gonna open your wallet for these guys or just run your mouth about what the mining is doing to your mountains?

What will become of Logan, Boone, and Mingo Cos.?

The coal companies are making a fortune, and we are losing our beloved mountains.
