Francis Marie Bennett, 39, of Quinland died at home on Jan. 8, 2010.
She was preceded in death by a son, Aaron Michael Bennett Neel.
She is survived by one daughter, Amber Neel of Quinland; her
parents, Bobby and Sarah Bennett of Madison; sisters, Kathy Parsons and husband, Edward, of Cleveland, Ohio, Lois Wagner and husband, Jeff, of Uneeda and Tina Louise Harshberger and husband, Timothy, of Wharton; and brother, Bobby Bennett Jr. and wife, White Fawn, of Russell Point, Ohio.
Funeral services were held on Jan. 13 at Handley Funeral Home, Danville, with the Rev. Phil Rowe officiating. Burial followed at Memory Gardens, Madison.
Belva H. Ball
Belva H. Ball, 83, of Lake died Jan. 11, 2010. Funeral services were held on Jan. 15 at Evans Funeral Home, Chapmanville. Burial followed at Highland Memory Gardens, Godby.
Barbara A. Pettry
Barbara A. Pettry, 68, of Glen Daniel died Jan. 8. 2010. Funeral services were held on Jan. 16 at Tyree Funeral Home, Oak Hill. Burial followed at High Lawn Memorial Park, Oak Hill.
Cathy A. Morris
Cathy A. Morris of Rock Creek died Jan. 11, 2009. Funeral services were held on Jan. 16 at Rock Creek Community Church, Rock Creek. Burial followed at Scarbro Cemetery, Rock Creek. Armstrong Funeral Home, Whitesville, is in charge of arrangements.
Quinnie “Connie” Peters
Quinnie “Connie” Peters, 73, of Bandytown, Boone County, died Thursday, Jan. 14, 2010, at home with her family by her side.
Born Oct. 23, 1936, in Boone County, she was the daughter of the late James and Ida Jarrell Workman. Connie was also
preceded in death by her brother, Russel Allen Workman.
Survivors include her husband of 49 years, Larry D. Peters; daughters and sons-in-law, Regina and Brian Reynolds, Patty and Eric Pauley, Lora and Tim Nida; six grandchildren; one great-grandchild; half brother, Cecil Lowe; and a host of other family and friends.
Funeral services were held on Jan. 18 at Stevens Funeral Home, Madison, with Pastor Chip Frame and Scotty Elswick officiating. Burial followed at Memory Gardens, Madison.
Bill E. Sebok
Bill E. Sebok died Jan. 12, 2010, at the home of his daughter, Cathy Casey and son-in-law, Mark Casey, in Spring Branch, Texas. He was 79. Born Oct. 20, 1930, in Prenter, W.Va., he was married for 31 years to Virginia Ann Lee, who preceded him in death in 1987.
He graduated from Sherman High School in Seth, W.Va., in 1949, where he was quarterback on the football team and catcher on the baseball team. After high school, he served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War. He returned to West Virginia, where he earned a degree in business administration from Morris Harvey College, now the University of Charleston. He spent his entire professional career at Columbia Gas Corporation, from which he retired in 1990 as manager of the benefits department.
In July 1970, he moved to Delaware, where he resided for 39 years. He did a great job raising four children and loved his three grandchildren. He enjoyed sports, especially football, and coached both Little League baseball and soccer. He loved spending time at the beach, gardening, and playing Santa Claus for the neighborhood children. He enjoyed traveling in the U.S. and Europe.
He was an active member of the Limestone Presbyterian Church in Wilmington, Del, where he served as a deacon. During the last 20 years, he was active with the
Mid-County Senior Center in New Castle County, where he provided volunteer Eldercare services and enjoyed bowling and volleyball. He also worked in Delaware and U.S. elections.
He is survived by son, Tom Sebok of Broomfield, Colo.; daughter, Angelia Sebok,
son-in-law, Nils Normann, and grandchildren, Maia and Henning Sebok Normann of Longmont, Colo.; daughter, Melissa Sebok, son-in-law, Daniel Zweers, and grandson, Noah Sebok Zweers of Alexandria, Va.; and daughter, Cathy Casey, son-in-law, Mark Casey of Spring Branch, Texas. He is also survived by his sisters, Betty Bowen of Cross Lanes, Marguerite Francisco of Dunbar, and Jean Jones of Charleston.

Alma Elizabeth Jarrell
Alma Elizabeth Jarrell, 92, of Van died Jan. 9, 2010, at Hubbard Hospice House, Charleston.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Theron Jarrell; and a son, Nick Jarrell.
She is survived by one son, Wesley Mort Jarrell of Madison; two daughters, Lorena “Lori” Jarrell and Regina Matteson, both of Van; six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held on Jan. 13 at Handley Funeral Home, Danville, with the Rev. Roger Vance officiating. Burial followed at Memory Gardens, Madison.
