Grand jurors returned indictments against Larry Nunnery II, Dustin Vance and Gerald Waters III. The three men were charged with first degree arson and conspiracy in connection with a fire allegedly set at the old Madison ice plant, owned by Lawrence Lyon in May 2009. The men were formerly members of the Madison Volunteer Fire Department.
Cecil Wayne Dunfee, Jr. was indicted on charges of third degree arson and destruction of property. Investigators alleged that he set fire to a bulldozer belonging to Eastern Arrow Corporation. The totally destroyed earthmover was valued at $313,000. The crime took place in Boone County on April 29, 2009.
Anthony Gore was charged with three counts of third degree sexual assault in connection with a crime that allegedly took place with a juvenile in October 1996.
A 22-count indictment has been filed against Jennifer Cales. The alleged offenses include third degree sexual assault and sexual abuse by a parent, guardian or custodian. Court documents state that the crimes were perpetrated against one juvenile under between June 2005 and September 2008.
Matthew Hill was indicted on charges of second degree sexual assault in connection with a July 22, 2008 crime which reportedly took place in Boone County.
An indictment on charges of first degree robbery was returned against Donald Turner. The alleged robbery took place at the One Stop service station on October 29, 2007. In addition, Turner faces a count of first degree robbery in February 23rd, 2008 which allegedly took place at the same One-Stop station.
Charges of wanton endangerment with a firearm and conspiracy have led to an indictment against Zarcus Gore. These charges are in connection with an assault against Emory Halstead, Dreema Halstead, Sara Halstead and Charles Green which allegedly took place on May 5, 2008.
A four-count indictment was returned against James Richard Ward last week. The indictment charged that between June 21st and September 20, 2008, Ward broke into the home of Irene Workman. The court document also charged the man with petit larceny for stealing money from Mrs. Workman’s purse on February 28, 2009 during a nighttime burglary.
Arthur Lee Mooney Jr., was indicted last week on charges of burglary and grand larceny in connection with an incident that allegedly took place between July 6th and July 13th of 2008. Court documents state the thefts took place at the home of Arthur Lee Mooney Sr.
Dustin Cook and Michael Huffman face charges of burglary, conspiracy and grand larceny in connection with the August 2009 burglary of the home of Billy Williams. Items the owner reported stolen include twenty firearms, a compound bow, electronic equipment and various other items.
James Buzzard was indicted on burglary and grand larceny charges in connection with a 2009 crime.
Jack Anthony Webb, Stephen Jarrell and Phillip Elswick face will face trial on charges of grand larceny, receiving or transferring stolen property for a crime that allegedly took place on March 17th, 2009. Investigators charged the trio with stealing a 2003 Caterpillar 246 skidster, valued at over $50,000 and a load bucket valued at over $2,000. The items were stolen from Christler, Inc.
The men also face one count of operating or attempting to operate a clandestine drug laboratory. The document states that the men "assembled chemicals or equipment or a combination thereof for the purpose of manufacturing methamphetamines."
Jennifer McCoy faces an indictment on charges of forgery and uttering. The document alleges McCoy signed the named of Daffnie Welch , of Jeffrey. Officials claim McCoy signed Welch’s name to a criminal bail document on April 29, 2008.
Oliver Bassham and Christina Bassham are facing a seven-count indictment on charges of possession with intent to deliver marijuana, oxycodone, and alprazolam and delivery of controlled substances. These crimes allegedly took place between March and April of last year.
Debra Betterline faces charges of delivery of a controlled substance in the sale of 58 alprazolam tablets on March 11, 2008.
Clarence Craft has been indictment on a charge of manufacturing controlled substances. The court document alleges that he cultivated marijuana in September, 2006.
A seven-count criminal indictment was returned last week against Rachel Estep. The alleged crimes included possession with intent to deliver the prescription drug adderal, along with the attempted sale of 39 lorazepam tablets, 20 valium pills, oxycodone and possession of marijuana. She was also charged with carrying a loaded firearm in her vehicle and failure to drive on the right side of the roadway.
Rhonda Woodrum faces indictment on charges of delivery of a controlled substance. The document alleges that on March 22, 2006, Woodrum "delivered a controlled substance by unlawfully and feloniously, knowingly and intentionally to another." The drug Woodrum allegedly sold is believed to be cocaine.
A single count of fraudulently obtaining welfare assistance was returned against Kimberly Hughes. The indictment alleged that between February 1st and December 31st, 2007, Hughes unlawfully received $5,100 in assistance from the AFDC program while her husband was receiving income from his job.
Chadwick Brian Justice and Ruthie Mae Justice were indicted on charges of transferring stolen property and conspiracy. Court documents allege that the couple sold 200 feet of 24 gauge telephone cable, 150 feet of 19 gauge cable and 270 feet of 24 gauge cable stolen from Verizon Inc. The items, valued at over $11,000 were sold to D&D Recycling between September 26 and October 6th of 2008.
