Kenneth Darrell “Chops” Vint, 61, of Wharton went home to be with the Lord Feb. 26, 2010.

Funeral services were held on March 2 at Handley Funeral Home, Danville, with Pastor Toney Darrell Searls and Allen Harvey officiating. Burial followed at Memory Gardens, Madison.

Ernest Workman Jr.

Ernest Workman Jr., “Junior”, of Twilight passed away on Saturday, March 6, 2010, at Boone Memorial Hospital, Madison with lung cancer.

Funeral services were held on March 8 at Handley Funeral Home, Danville, with Timmy Bailey and the Rev. Phil Rowe officiating.

Burial followed at Mid-Ferrell Cemetery, Bandytown, with

military graveside rites performed by VFW Daniel Boone Post 5578, Madison.

Elmer Smith

Elmer Smith, 84, of Foster, formerly of Twilight, passed away Monday, March 1, 2010.

Funeral services were held on March 3 at Handley Funeral Home, Danville, with Minister Timmy Bailey officiating. Burial followed at Memory Gardens, Madison.

JoAnn Johnson

JoAnn Johnson, 74, of Minerva, Ohio, formerly of Ashford, W.Va., died Sunday, Feb. 28, 2010, in her home.

Following cremation, a

memorial service was held on March 5 at Gotschall-Hutchison Funeral Home, Minerva, with Mr. Ralph Norman officiating.

Dempsey J. Barker

Dempsey J. Barker, 82, of Ashford died March 2, 2010.

Funeral services were held on March 6 at Emmons Freewill Baptist Church. Burial followed at Barker Cemetery, Ashford. Curry Funeral Home, Alum Creek, is in charge of arrangements.

L. K. Cook

L. K. Cook, 67, of Jeffrey died March 4, 2010.

Funeral services were held on March 7 at Freeman Funeral Home, Chapmanvill. Burial

followed at Mills Cemetery, Garretts Fork.

Aliyah Shea Kinder

Aliyah Shea Kinder, infant daughter of Elijah and Carissa Kinder of Madison, died at birth on March 4, 2010.

Graveside services were held on March 7 at Danville Memorial Park, Danville, with the Rev. Ray Barker officiating. Arrangements are by Handley Funeral Home in Danville.
