Bernard E. Brady, 88, of Walker, W.Va. died March 6, 2010 at his
residence. He was born in Shock, W.Va., a son of the late Elbert and Josephine Boone Brady.
He was an active member of Vaught Chapel Church and was retired from Cyanamid. He served in the US Marine Corps for six years during World War II, becoming a Disabled American Veteran at Guam in the South Pacific. He was a former Forest Ranger for the West Virginia Department of Natural Resources in Boone County and was a member of the American Legion Post 15. He was also a proud member of the Wood County Farm Bureau for over 60 years.
He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Willodeane Brady; five children, Elbert Brady and wife Lynda of S. Charleston, W.Va., Janet Barnhart of Anna Maria, FL, Danny Brady and wife Kathy of Newark, W.Va., Vickie Bradley and husband Michael of Leachtown, W.Va., Mark Brady and wife Connie of Leachtown, W.Va.; 13 grandchildren;
14 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; five brothers and sisters, Bernice Rogers of Baltimore, Md., Barbara Sauer and husband Sonny of Orma, W.Va., Borden Brady of Mathias, W.Va., Brock Brady and wife Alma of Shock, Blair Brady and wife Charlotte of Shock; and one sister-in-law, Thelma Brady of Cedar Creek, W.Va.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Blaine Brady: one sister, Beulah Bailey; and an infant sister, Bertha Brady.
Funeral services were held on March 10 at the Leavitt Funeral Home, Parkersburg with
Rev. Jamie Sprague, Rev. Rod Blanchard and grandson, Zackary Brady officiating.
Burial followed at Sunset Memory Gardens with military graveside rites by the American Legion Post 15.

William Lee Marcum, Sr.
William Lee Marcum, Sr., 41, of Greenview died on Monday, March 8, 2010 at his home.
He was born June 13, 1968 and was a son of the late Vernon Bo Marcum and his mother, Dollie Marcum.
He was a self-employed carpet installer.
In addition to his mother Dollie Marcum, he is survived by step-mother, Pat Marcum; loving companion, Pam Kilby; children, Dustin R. Truxhall of Madison, William L. Marcum and Charles C. Truxhall both of Elyria, Ohio, Billy Marcum and Angel M. Marcum of Hewett; sister, Missy C. Crawford; and brother, Jeffery D. Marcum; and six grandchildren.
Funeral services were held on March 12 at Handley Funeral Home, Danville. Burial followed at Marcum-Adkins Cemetery, Greenview.
Stephen Henry Simms
Stephen Henry Simms, 59, of Greenview passed away on March 8, 2010, at CAMC Memorial Hospital, Charleston.
Funeral services were held on March 11 Services at Handley Funeral Home, Danville, with Pastor Luke Cooper officiating. Burial followed at Family Gardens, Madison.
Gary Dean Price
Gary Dean Price, 43, formerly of Madison, died Feb. 16 at his home in New York.
Gary was born Oct. 19, 1966 to Gary L. Price and Janet Walker Price, formerly of Madison.
He was a member of Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church and attended St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church with his daughters.
He was preceded in death by his father Gary Price. Surviving are daughters Molly, Maggie, Madelyn, Chloe and Claire Price of St. Albans, mother Janet Price 0f Lexington, N.C., brother Mark (Suzie) of California, sister Tamela (Darren) of Lexington, grandmother Eva Walker Chafin of Lexington and Madison.
Funeral services were held on Feb. 21 at Near Cavalry Baptist Church in Lexington. A Catholic graveside service followed.
Edna Mae Wills
Edna Mae Wills, 97, of Arnett passed away Monday, March 8, 2010, at her home.
Funeral services were held on March 11 at Arnett Chapel, Arnett, with the Rev. Larry Kinder officiating and with singing by the Arnett Chapel Choir. Burial followed at the Wills family cemetery.
Nora J. Blevins
Nora J. Blevins, 66, of Madison died March 9, 2010.
Funeral services were held on March 13 at Koontz Funeral Home, Hamlin. Burial followed at Richmond Cemetery, Spurlockville.
Thelma “Jean” Craddock
Thelma “Jean” Craddock, 73, of Hewett, Boone County, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, March 11, 2010, at Hubbard Hospice House, Charleston.
Funeral services were held on March 14 at Meadow Fork Freewill Baptist Church with Gary Tomblin and Ralph Caudill officiating. Burial followed at Epling Cemetery, Hewett.
