BLOOMINGROSE – A meth lab was found in Bloomingrose last week with two young children in the home, according to police.

Robert Stamper, 35, of Charleston has been charged with operating a meth lab and two counts of child neglect.

State Police investigators went to a Bloomingrose address last week where they had information about a meth lab being operated.

Inside, they found two “shake and bake” meth labs and Stamper hiding in a closet, police reported.

According to court documents, Stamper was wanted in Kanawha County and “knew we was going to find the lab.”

Two children, ages 3 and 11 months old were taken from the home, according to police.

Stamper was taken to the regional jail to await arraignment by a magistrate.
