NELLIS — A man was arrested and charged with driving revoked (DUI) 5th offense on Nov. 14 along Ashford-Nellis road after a traffic violation on an ATV spurred a traffic stop.

Michael C. Gillispie, 45, who has a post office box registered in Marmet, has previous convictions for the same offense dating back to June 2015, July 2015, November 2015 and July 2017.

In an incident report prepared by West Virginia State Trooper AR Workman, the officer made a traffic stop of a green 1998 Honda 300 ATV when it failed to come to a complete stop at a designated stop sign.

The Trooper noted that the vehicle was traveling without a tail light in low light conditions. After a routine check of Gillispie’s drivers license, Trooper Workman became aware of the previous convictions and current suspension

As of CVN print deadline, Gillispie was held at the Southwestern Regional Jail on a $25,000 surety/cash bond.
