Stuart Dotson is sought by the West Virginia State Police in relation to a mine theft in Boone County. Anyone with information on Dotson's location or on the stolen equipment is asked to call the Madison State Police detachment at 304-369-7800.

BOONE COUNTY - A man is sought in relation to the theft of over $380,000 in electrical parts from the Hobet Mine Complex in Danville.

According to a press release from the West Virginia State Police, circuit breakers and starters were stolen from the complex on Memorial Day weekend.

According to the release, plant personnel replaced the stolen items, and the same people from the first theft drove back to the plant the following weekend and stole the replacement parts from the facility.

Troopers are looking for Stuart Dotson in relation to two felony warrants in connection with mine thefts.

The State Police stated that the preparation plant lost at least five days of production due to the thefts.

According to the State Police, Dotson has a criminal arrest history for the same kind of criminal activity. He is from the Mount Hope area of Fayette County but has ties to the Rock Creek area of Raleigh County, into the Whitesville area of Boone County.
