WHARTON — A woman was charged in connection with a stabbing incident in Wharton on Feb. 25.
Courtney Renee Dillion, 25, who has a post office box address in Foster, was charged with felony malicious wounding.
According to the criminal complaint prepared by Boone County Sheriff’s Deputy EE Arthur, he was dispatched to 92 Chaney Lane in Wharton in relation to a stabbing.
Upon arrival, he spoke to the victim, and it was communicated to the deputy that Dillion came to the address and “made her way into the residence.”
The report states that once inside, a confrontation ensued and the suspect pulled a knife and cut the victim’s left arm, requiring approximately 18 external stitches and an unknown amount of internal stitches.
According to the victim, the suspect was upset because, “the victim and the defendant’s ex-girlfriend are now involved in a relationship.”
As of CVN print deadline, Dillion was held in Southwestern Regional Jail on a $60,000 surety/cash bond.
