DANNY SPENCER, 78, of Hewett, W.Va., passed away Friday, January 13, 2023. Danny was born December 30, 1944, a son of the late Virgil and Pauline White Spencer. He was also preceded in death by a brother Kyle Spencer. He is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Betty; children: Debby (Chuck) Mullins, Laura (Dale) Brumfield, and Amy (Scott) Dolin; sister, Judy Fowler; brother, Corky (Dorella) Spencer; special nephew, Trentin; and other special nieces and nephews. Danny was a Christian and a member of Spencer United Methodist Church of Hewett, W.Va. He was a retired coal miner from Hobet Mining. The family would like to thank the church family and their community of friends for all the help that was given and for their thoughts and prayers. Service was held 11 a.m. on Monday, January 16, at Handley Funeral Home in Danville, W.Va., with Pastor Roger McCauley officiating. Burial followed in Memory Gardens on Low Gap Road, Madison, W.Va.
