Later in 1949, at the age of 19, she married the love of her life, Ose R. Stephens, who passed before her in 2017. After Ose’s discharge from the Army, they moved to Madison, W.Va., where they set down roots and raised their three children. Dolores enjoyed gardening club, arts and crafts, being a Girl Scout leader, traveling all over the world with her friends and family and especially her longtime membership at the Madison Baptist Church. Until the last several years, she would winter in Ft. Myers and summer in West Virginia. She loved both of her homes dearly for the unique things they brought to her life.
