CHARLESTON — Concerns about the coronavirus pandemic have led organizers to cancel this year’s West Virginia Book Festival.
Van Deysen Law will host a free legal planning workshops on June 20. One is set for 1 p.m. at the Logan Lodge and an identical workshop is planned for 6 p.m. at 1000 Conference Center Drive in Chapmanville. Attorney Brent Van Deysen will cover estate planning documents, asset protection trusts, estate planning for special needs beneficiaries and protecting assets from the high costs of nursing homes among others. Madison Baptist Church and the West Virginia Leadership Academy will hold a leadership academy from noon until 4 p.m. daily. March 20-22. This is a training to learn about developing groups and organizations, holding meetings and advocating for issues. All materials will be furnished and lunch served Thursday and Friday.
