CHARLESTON - The Danville Hawks Youth Football League opened the 2019 season by traveling to Elk River on Aug. 18.

Although the Hawks D-Team suffered a 32-0 defeat at the hands of the Elk River Huskies, the Hawks C-Team returned the favor by beating Elk 32-0, while the B-Team Hawks won 42-0 and the A-Team Hawks capped off the extremely hot Sunday afternoon with a 44-0 victory.

Up next, the Hawks return to Danville for their home opener of the 2019 season as they take on the Nitro Wildcats on Aug. 25 at the Scott High School Football Complex.

The games start at 1 p.m.
