MADISON - The Danville Hawks Youth Football League returned to action on Sept. 8 as they hosted the South Hills Patriots at the Scott High School Football Complex.

The Hawks celebrated the day with their "White Out" theme, as their teams took the field for the first time ever in their all white uniforms.

In game action the Hawks D-Team had a rough day falling to the Patriots 42-0. The Hawks B-Team showed a lot of heart late in their contest, but ultimately fell to the team in maroon and silver 42-12.

The Hawks C-Team fought and battled to overcome a 12-0 deficit at the end of the first quarter and pulled out a 14-12 victory with a late touchdown and a big defensive stand to end the game.

The final matchup of the day featured a pair of unbeaten A-Teams. As was the case in their first two contest of the season, the A-Team Hawks' high powered offense and stingy defense proved too much for the Patriots as they won easily 44-0.

The Hawks return to the road the next two weeks as they play the Ripley Vikings this week and the Poca Dots the following week, before returning home Sept. 29 for their homecoming and "Gold Rush" game versus the Hurricane Redskins.
