WINFIELD — The Danville Hawks Youth Football League played in the second round of MSE post-season play last weekend.

The No. 1 seeded Danville Hawks C-Team traveled to Winfield to take on the playoff host Winfield Generals this past Saturday.

The Hawks C-Team jumped on the Generals early and kept their foot on the gas as they rolled to a 36-6 victory.

The Hawks C-Team advances to the MSE Blue Conference Championship Game, where they will face the Nitro Wildcats. The game will be played at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 2, at Nitro High School.

The No. 4 seeded Hawks B-Team faced the Nitro Wildcats B-Team this past Sunday at Sissonville High School. Unfortunately, the Hawks B-Team’s season came to an end as they fell to the Wildcats 20-6.

The No. 1 seeded Hawks A-Team took on the Elk River Huskies Sunday at Sissonville.

The Hawks A-Team steamrolled past the Huskies to a 42-0 victory as the team from Elk River conceded to victory with 8 seconds still left to play in the 2nd quarter.

The Hawks A-Team, like the C-Team, advanced to the MSE Blue Conference Championship Game to take on the Winfield Generals on Saturday, Nov. 2, at Nitro High School.
